ABSTRACT

This paper investigates geomorphological Landscape Resources value and the need for conservation study of the distributions and characteristics of weathering pits(tafoni, gnamma) on the top of Songnisan National Park. Tafoni is found large distributes the small things by granular disintegrations reflecting characteristics of the granites and granite porphyry. And a lot of effects of the solar radiation along the direction of slopes. Gnamma is the characteristics of distribution, the excepts of the things Munjangdae, that number is very small and shallow depth considerably compared with width. The things of Munjangdae are due to water supply is sufficient by precipitation. Weathering pits in Songnisan are the natural landscape of the regional representatives consisting of steep cliff. In addition, Due to a broad distribution and unique shapes of the lager academic and educational value and regional tourism is well known as a place of folk-beliefs. Recently the value and conservation of geomorphological landscape awareness has increased significantly. In accordance with this trend, weathering pits in Songnisan National Park also conservation and management should be systematic.
